Chevron Corporation had its stock split on numerous occasions, and a majority of them were stock dividends. The earliest Chevron Stock was split was in 1929, when a 2% stock dividend was given in November of that year. Next year, the company gave the same dividend to its share holders. The company didn't have a stock dividend for the next 18 years. The company then gave out a 5% dividend for the years 48, 48, 54, and 55. Chevron had a 2 for 1 Stock split in the year 1951, 1956, 1973, 1981, 1994, and 2004. The Company gave a 5% stock dividend in 60's with stock dividends being given in the years 1961, 1962, 1964, 1966, and 1969.
